STREET CLOSURES
Below is a list of streets which will be impacted in some way by the Sunday Races, along with the expected duration of the impact.
Click here to view a map of the course through Long Branch and Monmouth Beach.
The local streets on the northern end of the course will begin to be closed starting around 7:30 AM and will begin to reopen between Noon and 1 PM.
Please remember that this is a 2-loop course for the marathoners. As soon as the last athlete has passed by, the water and aid stations have been disassembled, and the police and course marshals confirm that it is safe, those streets will be reopened.
The local streets on the southern end of the course will begin to be closed starting around 8:30 AM and will begin to reopen between 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
The longer closure intervals for the streets on the southern end of the course are due to runners slowing down during the second loop (the last 6 miles of the Marathon).
The exact street closing information and times for 2011 will be posted by early April.
