Our Mission
COSAC is a nonprofit agency providing information and advocacy, services, family and professional education, and consultation. COSAC encourages responsible basic and applied research that may lessen the effects of, and potentially prevent, autism. COSAC is dedicated to ensuring that all people with autism receive appropriate, effective services to maximize their growth potential and to enhancing the general public's overall awareness of autism.

The Family Support Center of NJ (www.fscnj.org) is a clearinghouse of up-to-date information on national, state and local family support programs, services and disabilities.  The Center offers a “One-Stop-Shopping” approach to individuals seeking information on disabilities and services by providing them with easy access to a comprehensive array of services.

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland County, NJ (www.bbbsccnj.org)  Making a positive difference in the lives of at-risk children, through a professionally-supported primarily one-to-one mentoring relationship with a caring adult.

  • Family Promise of Monmouth County (http://familypromisemc.org) Uniting congregations to provide shelter, meals and compassionate assistance for homeless families.

  • The Valerie Fund (www.thevaleriefund.org) Supporting comprehensive healthcare services for children with cancer and blood disorders.

  • Family Resource Associates (www.frainc.org) Helping children and people of all ages with disabilities to reach their fullest potential.  TECHConnection at FRA provides computer training and assistive technology services to the community;(www.techconnection.org)

  • The SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood) Program (www.sudc.orgSudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) is… the sudden and unexpected death of a child over the age of twelve months, which remains unexplained after a thorough investigation is conducted.  The SUDC Program serves families and professionals affected by the tragedy of SUDC, and promotes awareness of SUDC in communities.

  • St. Vincent de Paul Society- Holy Trinity Conference (www.svdp-lbnj.org) Serving the poor and homeless in the Greater Long Branch Area; a Catholic Lay Organization that distributes aid without concern for race, creed, color, ethnic background or religion.

  • The Telcordia Pioneers supporting social services and educational programs in Central and Northern New Jersey.

  • Rainbows, Inc. (www.rainbowsnj.org Providing support programs for children dealing with traumatic life situations.

  • Family & Children's Service of Monmouth County, Inc. (www.fcsmonmouth.org)
    Lighting the Way for Families in Need - Since 1909.   We serve vulnerable people at vulnerable times in their lives through education, intervention, care and counseling.

  • Camp Sunshine (www.campsunshine.org)  Providing a retreat for critically ill children and their families.

  • Canine Companions for Independence (www.cci.org)  Enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly-trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. (see picture below)

  • The Alpine Learning Group (http://alpinelearninggroup.org) A non-profit education and treatment program specializing in serving individuals with Autism.
